Scope

This standard specifies the working conditions, performance requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, RAMS requirements, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of third-rail collectors in rail transit. This standard applies to third-rail collectors (referred to as collectors) that collect current from either the upper or lower rail, and is suitable for metro and light rail vehicles operating at speeds not exceeding 120 km/h.
