Scope

This part of GB/T 18838 specifies the technical requirements for 12 grades of low-carbon cast steel shot blasting abrasives, including hardness, density, defects and structural requirements, as well as chemical composition, etc. The requirements specified in this part of GB/T 18838 only apply to unused abrasives, not to used abrasives. The test methods for metal abrasives used in shot blasting are described in various parts of GB/T 19816. Low-carbon cast steel shot is a recyclable and reusable abrasive, which can be used in both fixed and on-site shot blasting equipment.
