Scope
This document specifies the usage conditions, technical requirements, selection principles, vacuum circuit breaker tests, on-load tap-changer tests, overall tests, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for on-load tap-changers used in converter transformers for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects. This document is applicable to on-load tap-changers used in converter transformers for HVDC transmission projects. For other transformers, the requirements in this document can be used as a reference for implementation.
