T/CALAS 111-2021 Experimental animals: Technical specifications for evaluating the efficacy of different drug-resistant tuberculosis bacteria in vivo and in vitro
Basic Information
Scope
Scope: This document provides methods for determining the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of highly drug-resistant or low-drug-resistant clinical tuberculosis strains in vitro, as well as efficacy methods in mouse models, including the selection of drug-resistant tuberculosis strains required for model preparation, in vitro MIC determination, the preparation of different virulence-drug-resistant animal models, and methods for pathological and tissue bacterial load evaluation. This document is applicable to in vitro drug sensitivity testing of clinically drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the establishment of animal models and evaluation methods for in vivo efficacy evaluation, and the evaluation of the in vivo efficacy of different types of drugs against different virulence-drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. At the same time, this technical specification can also be used as a reference for in vivo and in vitro efficacy evaluation techniques of other clinically drug-resistant bacteria. Main technical content: Scope, normative reference documents, terms and definitions, abbreviations, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, experimental methods and requirements, and content of result review.
