Scope

1.0.1 In order to standardize the safe operation of open full-face tunnel boring machines and their supporting equipment and facilities in hydropower and water conservancy projects, prevent various accidents, and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, these regulations are formulated. 1.0.2 These regulations apply to all types of tunnel projects in hydropower and water conservancy projects that use open full-face tunnel boring machines for construction. 1.0.3 The environmental conditions for the use of the boring machines and their supporting equipment and facilities shall meet the requirements of the equipment's technical documents. 1.0.4 In addition to complying with these regulations, the safe operation of the boring machines and their supporting equipment and facilities shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant national standards currently in force.
