Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 13288 specifies the calibration of surface roughness comparison samples in GB/T 13288-1 and the stylus method for measuring surface roughness.
This part of GB/T 13288 is also applicable to the measurement of surface roughness of flat steel or replicas after jet cleaning, with an average peak-valley difference in the range of Ry5=20 μm to 200 μm. The measurement can be carried out in a representative area of the jet-cleaned surface. If it is not possible to measure directly on the surface, the measurement can be carried out on a replica of the surface (see Appendix C).
Note: If necessary, it can also be used to evaluate the surface roughness of other substrates cleaned by abrasive jetting.
Another optional method is described in ISO 8503-3.
