Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements for performance verification of industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT) systems when performing various inspection tasks.
This document is applicable to industrial X-ray computed tomography (non-medical applications) inspections, and provides a set of unified CT performance parameter definitions, as well as the relationship between these performance parameters and the technical specifications of CT systems.
This document is applicable to computed axial tomography, but not to other types of tomography such as translational scanning tomography and tomographic synthesis.
