Scope
This part of GB/T 17286 provides the methods and conditions to be followed when using pulse insertion technology to improve the resolution of flowmeters in systems for calibrating turbine or positive displacement flowmeters in conventional volume meters or small-volume volume meters. When calibrating other types of flowmeters, the methods provided in this part can also be referenced.
This part describes the three most commonly used pulse insertion technologies and their usage conditions; it also describes the equipment and calibration methods used to test the operating status of the pulse insertion system; and it describes some methods for measuring the irregularity of the pulse intervals of flowmeters (see Appendix A).
