Scope

This standard provides principles and recommendations for the way, content, format, and design of purchasing information for goods and services.
This standard also recommends basic principles for the establishment of purchasing information systems and the operation of purchasing information agencies.
This standard applies to:
——Drafters of standards for goods and services;
——Designers, producers, and technical document writers of goods and services, or other personnel engaged in drafting such information, especially members of purchasing information agencies;
——Other institutions such as supervisory enforcement agencies or consumer rights protection agencies.
This standard does not involve conformity assessment or user manuals, nor does it involve specific recommendations for verbal or electronic information.
