Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the content of polybromobiphenyls (PBBs, see Figure 1 for the structural formula) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs, see Figure 2 for the structural formula) in rubber products using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of polybromobiphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in rubber products, and is also applicable to the determination of the content of polybromobiphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in rubber tires.
