Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the total sulfur content in rubber products using the sodium peroxide melting method.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the total sulfur content in rubber, rubber products, and hard rubber (including the sulfur contained in inorganic fillers) made from natural rubber, chloroprene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, ethylene-propylene rubber, and nitrile rubber as raw materials.
