Scope

This standard specifies the method of representing colors using the CIE 1931 standard colorimetric system or the CIE 1964 standard colorimetric system. When the viewing angle is 1° to 4°, colors are represented using the tristimulus values and chromaticity coordinates of the CIE 1931 standard colorimetric system; when the viewing angle is greater than 4°, colors are represented using the tristimulus values and chromaticity coordinates of the CIE 1964 standard colorimetric system. This standard applies to object colors (including reflected colors and transmitted colors) and light source colors.
