Scope

This standard specifies the operational techniques and management requirements for the collection, storage, transportation, and transfer of waste lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as waste batteries) in the social circulation field.
This standard applies to the recycling and management of waste batteries from "social sources".
This standard does not apply to waste batteries for recycling, nor to used lead-acid batteries that are returned to the factory for reuse.
