Scope
This standard specifies the equipment and procedures for determining the effects of continuous cycling conditions on the mechanical properties and moisture content of products, with cycling conditions ranging from -20°C drying conditions to 20°C water immersion conditions. This method is suitable for insulated products. Its purpose is to simulate the effects of freeze-thaw on insulated products that are frequently exposed to water and low temperatures, such as inverted roofs and unprotected insulated products buried underground. This method is not suitable for all insulated products. If applicable, the product standard should specify which products this standard applies to.
