Scope

This document specifies the process requirements, process flow, tooling requirements, process parameter design, testing methods, and packaging and transportation requirements for the 3D hydraulic forming process of metal components with non-standard cross-sections. This document is applicable to the 3D hydraulic forming process of axisymmetric radially opening ring parts with complex cross-sectional features such as C, U, W, M, Ω, and multi-wave shapes, with diameters ranging from 10 mm to 200 mm.
