Scope

This standard specifies the limits of voltage fluctuations and flicker, as well as the methods of testing, calculation, and evaluation. This standard applies to the rapid changes in voltage at public connection points caused by fluctuating loads under normal operating conditions of AC 50 Hz power systems, and to situations where these changes may cause people to perceive noticeable flickering of lights.
