Scope
This standard specifies three test methods for determining the density of carbon fiber yarns, namely:
—— Method A: Liquid displacement method;
—— Method B: Flotation method;
—— Method C: Density gradient column method.
Method C is the arbitration method.
This standard applies to continuous carbon fiber yarns and fixed-length carbon fiber yarns.
