Scope

The analysis and testing of many plastic products require a particularly large specific surface area of the samples, such as the determination of extractable components. Therefore, plastic products often need to be crushed. The method described in this standard is applicable to molded plastics, plastic semi-finished products, and plastic molded components. Crushing consists of pre-crushing and final crushing of the products. According to the type of product being crushed, the research purpose, and the required particle size of the crushed material, an appropriate method is selected.
