Scope

This standard specifies the calibration and inspection methods for electronic fabric strength testers (hereinafter referred to as strength testers) (CRE type), which are applicable to the calibration of strength testers used for mechanical property tests such as tensile, compression, tearing, and peeling of textiles and non-metallic materials, whether they are newly manufactured, in use, or repaired. The calibration of other electronic tensile and pressure testers with the same or similar structures can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
