Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the vinylic phase transition time of phenolic resin under certain conditions and at a specified temperature on a vinylic phase transition test plate. This standard prescribes two methods, each of which uses a different vinylic phase transition test plate: -- Method A: spherical concave test plate; -- Method B: flat test plate without concave surface. This standard applies to vinylic phase phenolic resins and linear phenolic resins containing curing agents. Note: The vinylic phase transition time of phenolic resin on a vinylic phase transition test plate is usually referred to as polymerization speed.
