Scope

This standard specifies the evaluation method for the microstructure of malleable cast iron under a metallographic microscope.
This standard prescribes the evaluation methods for the graphite shape, graphite shape grading, graphite distribution, number of graphite particles, pearlite shape, pearlite residual quantity grading, carbide residual quantity grading, and surface layer thickness of malleable cast iron, and lists the corresponding grading charts.
