GB/T 18422-2013 Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies—Determination of permeability to gas
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies three methods for measuring the gas volume passing through rubber or plastic hoses or non-reinforced hoses within a specified time period.
Method 1: Measuring the air permeability of the entire hose or non-reinforced hose except for the end hose joints to the test gas. The permeability is calculated based on the length of the hose or non-reinforced hose.
Method 2: Measuring the air permeability of the contact surface of the hose/hose joint. When the outer coating of the hose is not punctured, the gas usually leaks out from the cut end of the fabric reinforcement layer, and this method is used in this case. The permeability is calculated based on the length of the hose.
Method 3: Precisely measuring the air permeability of the hose or hose assembly to the test gas. The air permeability is calculated based on the surface area of the inner lining of the hose.
This standard is only applicable to gases that are insoluble in water.
