Scope

This standard specifies the test equipment and instruments, measuring instruments, sample preparation, test methods, parameters, procedures, and detection and recording for the electrical insulation compatibility test (refrigerant + compressor oil) of electric motors used in closed-type refrigeration compressors (hereinafter referred to as electric motors). This standard applies to electric motors used in closed-type refrigeration compressors operating with refrigerants such as R22, R134a, R404A, R410A, R407C, R600a, and others, with a power rating of 90 kW or less. Motors used with other refrigerants may also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
