Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for sterile, single-use drainage catheters, wound drainage systems, and related components designed to drain fluids out of the body by gravity or negative pressure.
This standard does not apply to:
a) Catheters with an outer diameter of less than 2 mm;
b) Respiratory suction catheters (see YY 0339);
c) Tracheal intubation tubes (see YY 0337).
Note: Urinary catheters are covered by YY 0325.
