Scope
This document specifies the following:
——The functional architecture of the biometric identification system on the card;
——The definition of the implementation of the biometric identification system on the card of type S1 (fully compliant with GB/T 14916) and type S2;
——The types of sensors for the biometric identification system on the card;
——The minimum requirements for the biometric identification system on the card regarding the following:
● Discrimination ability (e.g., accuracy standards for biometric identification);
● Interface;
● Power options.
The following aspects are not within the scope of this document:
——Biometric identification on the card and biometric comparison outside the card;
——Collaborative implementation of workloads;
——Detailed descriptions and structures of independent components.
This document provides a description of the functional architecture of the biometric identification system on the card and describes how to map interfaces using existing command and data structures from other standards.
This document is applicable to the design, production, testing, and use of biometric identification cards.
