Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and quality certificates for coking spinnable pitch. This document is applicable to coking spinnable pitch obtained through the deep processing of coal tar, which is used in the production of high-performance asphalt-based carbon fibers, needle coke for ultra-high power electrodes, mesophase carbon microspheres, high-thermal conductivity foam carbon, and ultra-high surface area activated carbon, etc.
