Scope
This standard specifies the classification, designation, cross-sectional dimensions and allowable deviations, length and allowable deviations, weight, and marking examples of cold-bent steel for automobiles. This standard applies to the manufacture of passenger cars, freight cars, trailers, and other vehicles. It is used for cold-bent steel produced by cold or hot rolled steel strips that are deformed by cold processing on continuous roll cold bending machines, hereinafter referred to as steel sections.
