Scope

This document describes a method for determining the total alkyl sulfonate content (the sum of mono- and di-alkyl sulfonates) in industrial alkyl sulfonates containing a small amount of alkanes. This document is applicable to the determination of the alkali metal salt content in all n-alkyl sulfonyl chlorides and sulfonyl oxides products.
