Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the radial crushing strength of cylindrical sintered metal bushings. This standard is applicable to sintered bushings made from pure metal powders or alloy powders. For sintered metal bushings (sliding bearings) with flanges, if it is necessary to determine the radial crushing strength, the parts with different outer diameters can be cut off, and the main part can be measured. For spherical sintered metal bearings, the crushing load shall be determined by reference to the method specified in this standard in accordance with the agreement between the supplier and the buyer.
