Scope

This document specifies two on-site test methods for evaluating the quality of interior wall coatings [namely, on-site cleanability (stain removal) test and on-site wet scrub resistance test].
This document is applicable to white and light-colored coatings with a tristimulus value Y10 greater than 25. This tristimulus value is measured by testing samples coated on a black substrate.
The cleanability test is suitable for evaluating the coating quality of paints with a pigment volume concentration (PVC) between 18% and the critical pigment volume concentration (CPVC). The on-site wet scrub resistance test method is suitable for evaluating the coating quality of paints with a PVC concentration close to or higher than CPVC.
