Scope

This standard specifies a comprehensive method for measuring disc brake pads to determine the relationship between dimensional changes and temperature, as well as their thermal conductivity. Dimensions include: - Thickness; - Certain contour dimensions of brake pads that may lead to brake failure. This standard applies to disc brake pads for road vehicles, the dimensions of which should not exceed: width 120 mm, height 80 mm, and thickness 20 mm. They should be either fully molded or bonded pads with a solid backing plate.
