GB/T 38273.1-2019 Plastics—Thermoplastic polyester/ester and polyether/ester elastomers for moulding and extrusion—Part 1:Designation system and basis for specification
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 38273 specifies a naming system for thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters elastomers, which can serve as a basis for determining product specifications.
Different types of thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters elastomers are distinguished by different grades of the following properties:
a) hardness;
b) melting temperature;
c) tensile/bending elastic modulus.
Information about applications, processing methods, important characteristics, additives, color, and fillers and reinforcement materials is also related to naming or classification.
This part applies to all thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters elastomers. It applies to materials used directly in powder, granular, or sheet form, and to materials modified or unmodified with colorants, additives, fillers, etc.
This part does not imply that materials with the same name must have the same properties. This part does not provide the engineering data, performance data, and processing conditions required for materials used in specific applications and/or specific processing methods. When necessary, these additional properties should be determined according to the verification methods specified in Part 2 of this standard.
To illustrate the special applications of a certain thermoplastic or to ensure the reproducibility of processing, additional requirements can be given in character group 5 (see 4.1).
