GB/T 38273.2-2019 Plastics—Thermoplastic polyester/ester and polyether/ester elastomers for moulding and extrusion—Part 2:Preparation of test specimens and determination of properties
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 38273 specifies the sample preparation and performance testing methods for thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters molding and extrusion materials, as well as the requirements for sample handling and conditioning before molding and testing.
This part specifies the sample preparation process and conditions for thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters molding and extrusion materials, as well as the methods for testing the performance of these materials. It also lists the performance characteristics required for characterizing thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters molding and extrusion materials and their testing methods.
The performance items are selected from the general testing methods in GB/T 19467.1. This part also includes some other particularly important or widely used testing methods for thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters molding and extrusion materials, such as the characteristic properties (hardness, melting point, and tensile/bending modulus) specified in GB/T 38273.1.
This part is applicable to all thermoplastic polyester/esters and polyether/esters elastomers. It is also applicable to materials that are used directly in the form of powders, granules, or sheets, and to materials that are modified or unmodified with colorants, additives, fillers, etc.
In order to obtain comparable and reproducible test results, it is necessary to follow the sample preparation process and conditioning methods, sample sizes, and testing methods specified in this part. Test data obtained using different sample sizes or sample preparation methods may not be consistent.
