Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, code and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of water-swellable sealing adhesives.
This standard applies to water-swellable sealing adhesives (referred to as sealing adhesives) based on polyurethane prepolymers and containing special grafted urethane alkanes. They are used for the waterproofing of construction joints (including post-pouring strips), deformation joints, and pre-embedded components in industrial and civil construction underground projects, tunnels, protective projects, underground railways, sewage treatment tanks, and other civil engineering projects, as well as for the treatment of water leakage in existing projects.
