Scope

This section specifies the operating conditions for the whole vehicle test chamber, gas sampling devices, and the determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and carbonyl compounds in the inspected vehicles. There are three measurement modes: Firstly, the room temperature mode. It simulates the measurement of VOCs and carbonyl compounds under the condition of an atmospheric temperature of 23℃ and no air exchange; Secondly, the parking mode. It simulates the vehicle being parked in the sun, and then measures formaldehyde after the temperature in the vehicle rises; Thirdly, the driving mode. It simulates the vehicle being parked in the sun, and then starts the vehicle after the temperature in the vehicle rises, simulates the vehicle driving, and measures VOCs and carbonyl compounds. The whole vehicle test chamber is equipped with a heat radiator to simulate the average solar radiation.
