Scope

This document specifies the method for determining the content of tantalum and niobium in hard alloys by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry.
This document is applicable to the determination of tantalum and niobium content in tungsten-based mixed powders and hard alloys. The range of determination for tantalum (Ta) content is 0.050% to 15.00%; the range of determination for niobium (Nb) content (mass fraction) is 0.050% to 5.00%.
