Scope

This document specifies the scope, requirements, inspection items, content, and criteria for metal supervision in thermal power plants. The metal technical supervision of other types of power plants can be implemented by referring to this document. This document applies to the supervision of the following metal components: a) Pressure-bearing components made of carbon steel with a working temperature of 400°C or higher, and alloy steel with a working temperature of 450°C or higher (including main steam pipelines, reheater steam pipelines, superheater tubes, reheater tubes, header tanks, three-way valves, steam guide pipes, and connecting pipes), as well as the pre-tubing before primary valves connected to pipelines and header tanks. b) Boiler drums and steam-water separators and water storage tanks of direct-current boilers with a working pressure of 3.8 MPa or higher. c) Other pressure-bearing components with a working pressure of 5.9 MPa or higher (including water-cooled wall tubes, economizer tubes, header tanks, desuperheater pipelines, drainage pipelines, main feedwater pipelines, steam-water connecting pipelines, and the evaporation section of waste heat boilers, etc.). d) Turbine main shafts, impellers, blades, tie rods, bearing housings, and generator main shafts, protective rings, fan blades, and bearing housings. e) Bolts with a working temperature of 400°C or higher. f) Cylinders, steam chambers, main steam valves, regulating valves, nozzles, baffles, baffle sleeves, and valve housings with a working temperature of 400°C or higher. g) Reheated cold steam pipelines with longitudinal welds in 300 MW and above units. h) The main load-bearing steel structures of boiler bodies. i) Support and suspension brackets.
