This standard specifies the limits for the content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in inks, and provides related ink terms and definitions, classifications, requirements, test methods, packaging labels, and a list of prohibited solvents.
This standard applies to various inks in their factory-delivered state.
This standard does not apply to additives and diluents used to adjust the on-press performance of inks during printing, nor to products such as washing water used in printing.
