Scope

This standard specifies the terminology and definitions, technical approaches and procedures, factor selection, data investigation and organization, factor score calculation, classification and evaluation of grades, map compilation, organization and acceptance of results, and updating and application of results for land classification in Chinese cities and counties.
This standard is applicable to land classification carried out in cities and counties in China, as well as land grading work conducted in all Chinese towns. Land grading in independent industrial and mining areas and collective construction land can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
