Scope

This regulation applies to the design, construction, and acceptance of smoke exhaust systems in kitchens and bathrooms of new, renovated, and expanded ordinary residential and mixed-use residential buildings with a height of less than 100 meters. It does not apply to smoke exhaust duct projects for gas and fuel-fired water heaters, household fuel-fired heating furnaces, and other equipment that discharge gases.
