Scope

This part of GB/T 34041 specifies the requirements and recommendations for gas ultrasonic flowmeters (hereinafter referred to as flowmeters) that use the transit time of acoustic signals to measure the flow rate of a single homogeneous gas in a closed pipeline. It also stipulates the requirements for the structure, flow measurement performance, calibration, output characteristics, and installation conditions of gas ultrasonic flowmeters suitable for two accuracy levels: trade handover metering and distribution metering. This part applies to transit time-based gas ultrasonic flowmeters used for trade handover metering and distribution metering, including flowmeters with equal diameter, reduced diameter, high pressure, low pressure, or any combination of these types. There are no restrictions on the maximum or minimum dimensions of the flowmeters. This part can be applied to the measurement of various types of gases, including air, natural gas, ethane, etc.
