Scope
This part of GB/T 34041 specifies the requirements and recommendations for gas ultrasonic flowmeters (referred to as flowmeters) that use acoustic signals to measure gas flow in closed pipes. It also stipulates the performance, calibration (if necessary), output characteristics, and installation conditions of gas ultrasonic flowmeters. This part is primarily applicable to industrial flow measurement using the transit time method for gas ultrasonic flowmeters, including those with a casing and those with transducers installed on-site. There are no restrictions on the maximum or minimum dimensions of the flowmeters. This part can be used to measure various gases, including air, hydrocarbon gases, and steam.
