Scope

This standard specifies the definitions, markings, order content, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations of continuous cast steel billets and rectangular billets used for hot-rolled steel bars; technical requirements; test methods; inspection rules; transportation; storage; marking; and quality certificates. This standard applies to continuous cast billets used for hot-rolled round steel bars, hot-rolled ribbed steel bars, after-heat treatment steel bars, corrosion-resistant steel bars, and stainless steel bars, etc. Other continuous cast billets used for hot-rolled steel bars can be used as reference.
