Scope

This standard specifies the basic usage requirements and related inspection methods for swimming, diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming venues in terms of competition, training functions, safety, hygiene, environmental protection, and energy conservation. This standard applies to newly built swimming, diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming venues used for competition and training. Modified and expanded venues, as well as swimming venues used for leisure and entertainment purposes, may refer to this standard for guidance in their design and construction.
