Scope

This standard specifies the method of measuring the fuzziness of short-fiber yarns using an optical projection fuzziness tester.
This standard is applicable to:
a) Cotton yarns and cotton-type fiber yarns;
b) Wool yarns and wool-type fiber yarns;
c) Hemp yarns;
d) Silk yarns;
e) Medium- and long-fiber yarns;
f) Various blended yarns.
This standard is not applicable to high-elastic yarns, puffed yarns, and fancy yarns.
