Scope

This part of GB/T 30843 specifies the safety requirements related to electrical, thermal, and energy aspects of general-purpose variable-frequency speed-control equipment or its components, excluding the power supply. This part does not cover variable-frequency speed-control equipment and electric motors used in traction and electric vehicles.
This part applies to general-purpose variable-frequency speed-control equipment (hereinafter referred to as "variable-frequency speed-control equipment") with a rated input voltage of between 1 kV and 35 kV AC, a rated input frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, an output voltage not exceeding 35 kV, and an output frequency less than 120 Hz.
