GB/T 3286.7-2014 Methods for chemical analysis of limestone and dolomite—Part 7:The determination of sulphur content—The pipe furnace combustion iodic acid potassium titration method, the high frequency combustion with infrared absorption method and the barium sulfate gravimetric method
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 3286 specifies the determination of sulfur content by the potassium iodate titration method using a tube furnace, the high-frequency combustion infrared absorption method, and the barium sulfate gravimetric method.
This part is applicable to the determination of sulfur content in limestone and dolomite, and the determination of sulfur content in metallurgical lime. The determination range (mass fraction) of the potassium iodate titration method using a tube furnace and the high-frequency combustion infrared absorption method is 0.01% to 0.5%; the determination range (mass fraction) of the barium sulfate gravimetric method is for sulfur content greater than or equal to 0.10%; and the determination range (mass fraction) of the potassium iodate titration method using a tube furnace in Appendix B is for sulfur content not less than 0.01%.
