Scope
This specification applies to the calibration of elemental analyzers that use different principles, such as infrared analysis, thermal conductivity analysis, titration analysis, absorption analysis, and electrochemical analysis (also known as Coulomb analysis), to measure elements such as carbon (C), hydrogen (H), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), and sulfur (S). This specification does not apply to the calibration of carbon-sulfur analyzers and total sulfur determination instruments in coal that use infrared analysis principles.
