Scope

This standard specifies the specifications and tolerances, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of electrical rubber-coated fabric insulating tapes (referred to as insulating tapes). This standard applies to insulating tapes made from fiber fabric as the skeleton material and coated with insulating rubber. They can be used to wrap and protect the insulation of general wires and cables with voltages of 380 V or less in a temperature environment of -10°C to +40°C.
