Scope

1.0.1 In order to adapt to the aging of China's population structure, strengthen the planning of elderly facilities, provide elderly people with a safe, convenient, comfortable, and hygienic living environment, and meet their growing material and spiritual cultural needs, these standards are formulated. 1.O.2 These standards apply to the planning of new construction, expansion, or renovation of urban elderly facilities. 1.O.3 The planning of elderly facilities shall meet the following requirements: 1 Comply with the requirements of the urban master plan and other relevant plans; 2 Conform to the principles of "unified planning, rational layout, adaptation to local conditions, comprehensive development, and supporting construction"; 3 Meet the physical and psychological needs of the elderly, and comprehensively consider requirements such as sunlight, ventilation, cold protection, lighting, disaster prevention, and management; 4 Conform to the principle of combining social benefits, environmental benefits, and economic benefits. 1.O.4 In addition to implementing these standards, the planning of elderly facilities shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant national standards currently in force.
